Period trackers that share with a partner
without showing your notes

Several period trackers can share with a partner while keeping your notes private. Cycles: Period & Cycle Tracker says reminders and notes stay private even from the partner. Tideline's partner link shows cycle position and notes on what helps, never your entries. Cycle - Period Tracker lets you pick how much a partner sees.

Everything below comes from the App Store listings as I read them in October 2026. I haven't installed these apps, so treat it as what each developer says, not what I tested.

"Not stated" means the listing doesn't say, not that the app can't do it.

Where each one stands

Cycles is the clearest on the exact question. Its listing says reminders and notes are always kept private, even from your partner, and only cycle information is shared. It also offers an optional passcode or Face ID.

Cycle - Period Tracker gives you the most control: just your mood, just your phase, or full details. It also lists a discreet notification mode. The listing doesn't say whether notes are part of "full details", so check before you pick that setting.

NerdCycle shares phase and alert level through a private iCloud link, and you can stop sharing any time in Settings. It doesn't say what the partner can't see.

PairCare lets you choose what to share, and lists "flexible sharing controls" as a Premium feature. The listing doesn't describe those controls, and its privacy label lists data linked to your identity.

Where Tideline fits

Tideline is built around the other half of the question. The partner sees where you are in your cycle and short notes on what helps, such as what to do on a harder day. The entries you write each day are never part of it. The partner link is part of Tideline Plus. Tideline also has no account and no server, so the notes are on your phone to begin with.

If you're hoping a partner gets a heads-up before the hard week, that is what the link is for. Tideline counts down to your next period and to the harder days, and your partner sees the cycle position. For more on talking about it, see PMDD and your partner.

Tideline's listing doesn't offer a mood-only or phase-only setting. If you want to choose the detail yourself, Cycle does that.

Check it yourself before you trust it

A store listing is a promise, not a test. Before you rely on any app, add a test partner or a second device, write a note you'd hate to be read, and look at the partner's screen. Then check how you stop sharing. That takes ten minutes and settles it.

Which to pick

Keep the record your doctor needs. Tideline is a period and mood tracker for iPhone: write one sentence a day, and after two cycles it puts the week before your period next to the week after it starts. Free to track, no account.
